How to operate a 1940s Wire Recorder

Daniel Henry, Audio Visual Coordinator at the Pavek Museum of Broadcasting in St. Louis Park, Minnesota can do digital conversions of older media including wire recordings, VHS tapes, early film and other media. In this video Daniel shows Kevin Callahan of the 8th AFHS-MN how he loads, splices, and rewinds a 1947 Webster-Chicago Wire Recorder while making a digital copy of the wire recording with professional equipment. If you have old media with nothing to play it on needing digital conversion, he can quote you a price by e-mailing him at daniel.henry@museumofbroadcasting.org or calling him at the Pavek Museum of Broadcasting.
