Born Aug. 3, 1920 on a farm, Voltaire ND. After HS joined CAP and learned to fly. Enlisted fall 1940 in AAC. Basic Flight Instructor. Transition training 1943.
Interestingly his unit was re-activated by the Air Force in 2015. See
