Their liquid and gas filters are effective for over 99% of all particulate contaminants, and their Semantic Web design and W3C mobileOK web pages are accessible by over 99% of all desktop and mobile browsers. ### With oil prices rising as petroleum reserves deplete, visionaries like T. Boone Pickens are promoting compressed natural gas or "CNG" as a viable alternative energy source. According to, CNG costs about 40% less than gasoline and "compressed natural gas is the cleanest transportation fuel available today." But keeping CNG clean requires efficient coalescing filtration from production through distribution to delivery. Recognizing that growing CNG consumption will lead to increased demand for coalescing filters, Frontier Group of the Americas has partnered with Classic Filters Ltd UK to distribute their comprehensive line of gas and liquid filter elements and housings. And through their recently-launched website, they will be leveraging mobile friendly Web 3.0 technology to market their instrument, analysis, testing and replacement filters and custom-engineered filtration solutions to a diverse base of scientific, research, laboratory and industrial clientele. "We project that increasing demand for our stainless steel filter housings and PTFE [polytetrafluoroethylene] membrane DIA [disposable in-line absorption] and DIF [disposable in-line] instrumentation, sampling and analyzer filters, coupled with growing CNG filtration requirements, will be a major contributor to our expansion into the Americas, especially as NGVs [natural gas vehicles] make their way into the mainstream on both continents." stated David Janes, Managing Director of Sales for Classic Filters. "Based in South Florida near the business hub of Miami, the sales resources and distribution network of Frontier Group are ideally located to meet the needs of our customers in both North and South America," he continued, "and built on a solid foundation of W3C standards compliance and Semantic Web design, we are confident their website developed by Bruce Arnold will get our compelling message of quality filters, competitive pricing and superior service in front of the right people." Designed by Bruce Arnold's Miami web design firm, with front end development by web developer and optimization by Internet marketer, the Frontier Group's new website consists of hand-coded PHP-scripted HTML5/CSS3 with unobtrusive Javascript and jQuery enhancements. It features a faux browser panel extension, fixed header for desktop browsers, touch- and search-friendly Javascript-free navigation with imageless CSS3 gradient buttons, RSS/Ajax Twitter and blog feeds to enhance the user experience, social media integration, sharing and bookmarking facilitation, and Flash-free jQuery animations viewable on virtually all desktop, notebook, netbook, tablet - including Android and iPad - and smartphone browsers. Every page at passes all seven tests of Web 3.0 readiness, including not only W3C standards compliance validation of content and format but also checks on behavior, accessibility, semantics, feeds and links. This maximizes the site's visibility and user agent access potentials. The "mobile friendly" full website is accessible by both standard browsers and robust smartphones. Access is further broadened by the integration of a DDR (device description repository) to identify and adjust for mobile and other requesting browser capabilities, plus a "W3C mobileOK" companion mobile website optimized for both smartphones with minibrowsers (e.g. Opera Mobile) and not-so-smart cellphones with microbrowsers (e.g. OpenWave) at "". As research by et al. indicates that currently only about 25% of the world's growing base of 4.7 billion or so Internet-capable mobile phones qualify as "smart" phones, these additions increase the website's Mobile Web market penetration potential fourfold. As the Managing Director of Production for Classic Filters Ian Bovington quipped: "Our in-line disposable filters will eliminate over 99% of all solid and liquid particulate contaminants. And being mobile friendly as well as Web 3.0 Ready, Frontier Group's website designed by Bruce Arnold will illuminate over 99% of all desktop and mobile web browsers." About and Frontier Group of the Americas Distributed by Frontier Group of the Americas, the Classic Filters line of industrial, instrumentation, testing, sampling and analytical filtration solutions includes everything from stainless steel filter housings for PTFE membrane filters to replacement filter elements to complete filte
So I get called out on this “EMERGENCY” to a junkyard… I have no idea what the emergency is as I pull up to this graveyard for all kinds of equipment to include Air Conditioners, Generators, large water pumps…ect…ect. As I’m pulling into the area I notice a group of about six Afghan National Army (ANA) Soldiers all seemingly in a heated debate/argument with two American maintenance contractors. I know the yard, I know these two pieces of shit American contractors and before I even exit my vehicle with the intent to solve whatever problem is going on, I already know what happened; the ANA were trying to cannibalize some broken down piece of junk to fix their broken down piece of junk. Sure enough, through my interpreter I learn that these ANA Soldiers needed a filter from a generator fuel pump. Their fuel filter in their generator was damaged and they didn’t have any power to their facilities. The ANA stated they knew this was a junk yard and wanted to use the filter from the American’s broken down generator until their filter arrived via convoy from Kandahar. Well, the two American contractors who run/manage and supervise this huge junk yard filled with broken down U.S. Government property were being ignorant, by the book fools! The two Americans didn’t want to give up the fuel filter. They were calling the ANA Soldiers crooks, thieves and anything else their “superior, western” minds could conjure up. If I were a wealthy man, I would have knocked both of these Americans on their asses then with the help of the ANA would have went about smashing their closed, immature and primitive minds into the Afghan moon dust! There we were, a shootout about to happen over some stupid filter from a fuel pump from a broken down generator. The ANA kept saying we were on the same side and they just wanted to borrow the filter. The contractors stated per their contract they were not authorized to “cannibalize” any of their broken down equipment or they would be fired. Yes, the contractors were correct as most "contracts" have this listed as a "rule". In front of all parties involved I told my interpreter to explain to the ANA that I was sorry for the fucked up American system of fraud, waste and abuse however, my hands were tied and they would not be able to drive away with this fuel filter. The Americans didn't take to kindly to that statement! The ANA all agreed and even though their words were not understood, it was clear they agreed with my assessment. I then called over the highest ranking ANA solider alone with my interpreter and told the Sergeant that this yard would close in a few hours and after dark there would be no guards or surveillance within the yard and that if somehow this fuel filter would disappear at night, it would be a travesty of justice and a great crime against U.S. Government junk… we all laughed, the Soldier understood and the situation was absolved… I expect the two Americans to come to my office to report a theft in the morning… I’ll tell them this: “Do you have guards around your yard? Do you have surveillance of any kind?" They both will answer no. I will them tell them: “Then you just learned a valuable lesson.” We are in a war zone with people being killed and blown up every single day; supplies are slim, manpower is inadequate and taking a fuel filter from a broken down generator is not considered theft in a war zone in my humble opinion – it’s considered being creative and adaptive to solve a problem… Have a good day gentlemen…” I’m so sick and tired of dealing with ignorant fools… If we can't get along and fight together as one team, I say "NO WAR!"
