¡Bienvenidos a la clase de español! Welcome to Spanish class! We have started learning this amazing language. The students are learning the "Reglas de la Clase", the rules of the classroom, and their first quiz is on Friday, August 24th. Please have them study their notes!

7th Graders-Conjugations

The 7th graders have started learning -ar verbs conjugations. Please have them practice their verbs nightly for mastery. Ask them what are the endings for the -ar verbs. They should answer, -o, -as, -a, -amos, -an.  They also need to start preparing for their PBA on the classroom objects (objetos)  and subjects (materias). ¡Buena Suerte!

Welcome back seventh graders! We are starting off busy! We are reviewing for the Unit test for U1E3, La Familia. This unit was completed before break. Students will have their test on Wednesday, January 14th and an oral PBA on Thursday, January 15th.  Please have them review for these assessments. The chapter review was homework due on Friday, January 9th. It was the activities found on page 90-91. ¡Buena Suerte!

7th Graders - Students are on a new unit, Unidad 1 Etapa 3 (U1E3)

Seventh graders are working hard to succeed in Spanish class. The next three weeks will be busy starting with a vocabulary quiz tomorrow (p.93), a grammar quiz on December 10th and the MIDTERM exam on Wednesday, December 17th. Please have your student review daily for these assessments. The midterm exam includes all previous chapters! Students should review the vocabulary and grammar points from the beginning of the year.

New Unit - Unidad 1 Etapa 2

Students are learning their new vocabulary from page 69 of the text book. Tomorrow they have a quiz on definite and indefinite articles. Please have them review the grammar box in the text book! Also, ask them to tell you what they are wearing in Spanish, have them include the color too. Practicing the language will help them excel !!

7th Grade Unit Test and PBA

Buenos Días. The 7th graders have a busy week this week reviewing for their Unidad 1 Etapa 1 unit test on Wednesday, October 8th and a PBA on Thursday, October 9th. Please have them review daily for these assessments.

Their homework includes the chapter review on pages 44 and 45 and writing an essay about themselves and friends.

Students have their first PBA Thursday!

On Thursday,25th of September, students will have their first "Performance Based Assessment". They will be recorded and assessed on their Spanish speaking abilities. Also, on Wednesday, September 24th, 7th graders will have a subject pronoun quiz. Please have the students review daily for these assessments. ¡Gracias!

They will be having their Vocabulary Quiz on Tuesday, September 16th. Please have them review the vocabulary on page 47 and test themselves on Classzone.com. They should be reviewing daily for Spanish class! ¡Excelente!

I'm looking forward to meeting all the parents tonight at Curriculum night. In class we are practicing our Greetings, Introductions and Saying where people are from (in Spanish) in preparation for a quiz on Friday, August 29th. Please have the student review the vocabulary on page 21 and practice on Classzone.com. There is also a packet that they should use as a study guide. ¡ Buena Suerte !
