Hepa Filter For Clean Room

hepa filter for clean room
    hepa filter
  • (HEPA Filters) Class of air filters which meet a minimum performance level of 99.97% on 0.3 microns efficiency. (This is only an efficiency test and may not show small pin holes or leaks.) In the cleanroom market HEPA is normally rated at 99.
  • Filter that traps airborne particles by forcing air through very dense mesh.
  • A high efficiency particulate air , or HEPA , filter is a type of high-efficiency air filter.
    clean room
  • An environment free from dust and other contaminants, used chiefly for the manufacture of electronic components
  • A cleanroom is an environment, typically used in manufacturing or scientific research, that has a low level of environmental pollutants such as dust, airborne microbes, aerosol particles and chemical vapors.
  • These are the facilities used to assemble or service hard disks. They are environmentally controlled and dust-free.
  • a room that is virtually free of dust or bacteria; used in laboratory work and in assembly or repair of precision equipment

Cleanroom Technology: Fundamentals of Design, Testing and Operation
Cleanroom Technology: Fundamentals of Design, Testing and Operation
A self-contained and practical book providing step-by-step guidance to the design and construction of cleanrooms, appropriate testing methodologies, and operation for the minimization of contamination…
This second edition has been comprehensively revised and includes extensive updates to the two chapters that contain information on cleanroom standards and guidelines. The chapter on risk management has been extensively revised, especially the section on risk assessment. Other new subjects that have been added to the various chapters are those on clean-build, determination of air supply volumes for non-unidirectional airflow cleanrooms, RABS (Restricted Access Barrier Systems), contamination recovery test methods, entry of large items into a cleanroom, glove allergy problems, and how to develop a cleanroom cleaning programme.
Used for in-house training and a textbook in colleges, this volume is for cleanroom personnel at all levels. It provides novices with an introduction to the state-of-the-art technology and professionals with an accessible reference to the current practices. It is particularly useful in the semiconductor, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and life sciences industries.
William Whyte is an international authority in cleanrooms, with over 45 years experience in research, teaching and consulting in the electronic, healthcare and pharmaceutical industries. He is a member of British and International standards committees writing the International Cleanroom standards, and has received numerous awards for his work in Cleanroom Technology.
A comment on the first edition:
"...extremely useful and helpful...very well-written, highly organized, easy to understand and follow..." (Environmental Geology, 2003)

Before most Goddard spacecraft components are cleared for launch, they go through final checkups in one of many of the center's clean room facilities. The largest, the High Bay Clean Room, can accommodate two space shuttle payloads at one time. The High Bay Clean Room, often called the world's largest, prevents dirt, dust and other contaminants from damaging spacecraft components, especially sensitive and carefully calibrated instruments. For example, unlike personal digital cameras, a smudge or speck of dust on the lens of a space telescope is extremely difficult -- if not impossible -- to clean, especially once the spacecraft reaches orbit a few hundred miles up. A robust ventilation system and an entire wall of air filters help protect against these contaminants. The clean room ventilation system circulates almost one million cubic feet of air every minute through 9,000 square feet of HEPA filters located along one wall. The filters are not your typical off-the-shelf HEPA variety from the local home improvement store. These are specially designed to last several decades.

Providence Everett Medical Center Hospital is planning on getting rezoning to do major construction in the middle of our historical neighborhood for the next 20 years. We have purchased a hepa filter for every room in the house, and they each need to be cleaned weekly becuase of the current construction that has been going on for the last 2 years that we have been here, and the dust in our house is unbearable - daily dusting doesn't get rid of it. We are all now on asthma medications - inhalers and nebulizers. The medication makes Isabel a frantic emotional mess, so sometimes we opt to have her cough more so that she isn't tearing the house apart and freaking out constantly. This is a horrible decision for a parent to make.

Purus PS183631W Peel-Off Disposable Sticky Mat, 18" X 36", 30 Layers, Frameless, White
Purus mats have a heavier weight of adhesive, which yields a higher performing mat without excessive tack issues. The correct softness enables dirt to embed into the adhesive with just enough thickness to accept and contain the particles. Multi-Layered Construction Purus mats are available in 30 or 60 layer versions. Each layer of the mat is fully coated with a particle-grabbing adhesive and constructed of low-density polyethylene film. A low profile numbered tab indicates the number of remaining layers and ensures one-layer-at-a-time removal. Purus mats are produced in an ISO 9000 factory. The completely integrated manufacturing process with film extrusion, coating, laminating, (added comma) and converting ensures consistent quality.
