The 5th BOV Conference will start the day after the pre-meeting excursion, from the 12th (Friday) to the 14th (Sunday) of May.

Regular activities will take place during these three days:

Three plenary lectures
  • Dr. José Carlos Brito from CIBIO/InBIO, Portugal, with the presentation entitled Challenges for biodiversity conservation in the Sahara-Sahel under climate change: the ectotherm perspective
  • Dr. Wolfgang Wüster from Bangor University, UK, with the presentation entitled Patterns, drivers and genetics of venom variation in snakes
  • Dr. Xavier Bonnet from Chizé-CNRS, France, with the presentation entitled Shuttling between field and lab studies: biology and conservation of the aspic viper

The Viper Media Contest, an alternative activity planned for one night

The conference registration fee is 150 euros. It will include materials and program, coffee and refreshments during session breaks, and lunch for two days.
