Revolving Door, Palace Hotel, Gstaad
Revolving Door, Palace Hotel, Gstaad
This is the revolving door at the Palace Hotel in Gstaad, Switzerland, made famous by the movie "The Return of the Pink Panther" with Peter Sellers as Inspector Clouseau. Clouseau has endless problems trying to get through this door with his bag, and the bellboy finally rescues him. When I visited, it was all I could do to restrain myself from asking, "Tell me, how long have you been a bellboy?" In the movie, the answer is "Oh, too long, m'sieur" and Clouseau then says, "Keep up the good work and I will see to it that soon you will become a bellMAN."
