Fried Green Tomatoes at Paula Deen's Lady & Sons Restaurant
These were a specialty of the house starter offered separately from the lunch buffet at Paula Deen's Lady & Sons restaurant. Served with sweet Vidalia onion relish and roasted red pepper sauce. They were really tasty, mostly because the batter is light and really crunchy. I'm sure there were tomatoes in there too. ;-)
Paula Deen's Lady & Sons Restaurant Signage in Savannah, Georgia
Paula Deen's restaurant is located in this beautiful building in Downtown Savannah just a few blocks from the river. I was there on a Sunday when they only offer the all-you-care-to eat lunch buffet. Not a ton of choices for a vegetarian, but left satisfied with some good comfort food options.
