Finding My Car In A Lot...
Finding My Car In A Lot...
I know....I know....embarrassing and a bit corny. Well..let me tell you the long minutes I have wasted getting lost in a huge parking lot looking for my car. Do you know how many red SUV type vehicles there are nowadays parked in parking lots. So...I decided that I didn't have that kind of time to waste. I decided to put a "tag" of sorts on my vehicle so I could find it easier in parking lots. I decided I liked both of these guys....so I glued, yes glued, them to my antenna. Gorilla glue works best or else they slide down or blow off. My radio still works fine and I have these two happy little guys waiting for me when I reach my final destination of "NOT" being lost in a huge parking lot and can then proceed to start for home. They are always smiling at me.....and I smile right back, with satisfaction.
Joy of Cooking: Recipe #19, Iced Tea (from hot water)
Joy of Cooking: Recipe #19, Iced Tea (from hot water)
Irma is very proud that iced tea was first offered in her hometown of St. Louis, Missouri, at the World's Fair of 1904. She has a few helpful notes, too, about how hard water should not be used because it makes the tea murky, and other hints. But, you know, after telling us that tea bags are just not to be considered, she ends her discussion by tentatively recommending instant tea powders! I give up. My tea was made from an India tea in bags, using her hot water method and it was delicious. My dinner tonight is not from Joy of Cooking - it is my favorite pizza combination of shrimp, sauerkraut, pineapple, and black olives. I make it at home. I don't even try to share this excellent pizza with friends - I don't seem to have any takers! Geez. Oh, and yes Mom, I liked that crust! Thanks for the tip!
