Ghost Messages

I think a note of some kind should be put on the website and in the 531 Ghost Lore about the fact that those of us that were on the ship coming back from Atsugi in 1962 and were at Johnson atoll and exposed to the nuclear test are now eligible for veterans benefits at the minimum level 7-8.

What a GREAT site!! I was not in VMFA-531, but a RIO in sister squadron VMFA-323 two times, had many great friends in your squadron in timeframe of 1970-80's. One correction to he history of the Phantom in the Marine Corps, VMFA-323 was not the last to get the F-4N in 1979, I believe it was actually the first to get it i looked in my log book and found my first flight in the F-4N was 14 Sep 1973 BU# 150640 flying with Lew Hoyt. I remember the N very well after we got a full complement of the aircraft I was averaging over 50 hours a month, and that was with clean birds. Hope to see all at the F-4 reunion in San Diego this Nov
