Access Permissions (Sierra Johnston)

Access permissions restrict data from being manipulated/altered to a select group of Internet users. Authorized Internet users are provided a unique set of credentials, (e.g. a username and password) to access and alter the data.

Authorized users are often provided with varying levels of access to the data; These levels of access are correlated to their credentials. The first person to create the group and designate authorized users is often referred to as the Administrator. The Administrator has abilities that no other user can be granted, including issuing invitations to additional users to participate in the projects/discussions associated with their group.
