I fell in love with teaching languages when I was 14 years old, which was also when realized that I loved Spanish. I wanted to be able to teach others what I knew about the most beautiful Romance Language. It was made clear to me, once I tutored Spanish and taught private classes, that teaching was something I wanted to do. I began my future career in Santiago, Chile, in 2009 where I taught English to non-English speakers (5th grade to 12th grade students). Also, here in the US, I have taught Spanish to non-Spanish speakers. In 2011, in New York City, I was a Spanish tutor at LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts during my graduate academic year at NYU and also taught Spanish in a kindergarten and 5th grade after school program on the upper east side.
I am very interested in bilingual individuals, specifically Spanish and English. My dream job would be to be able to study bilingual children and their cognitive responses in social situations. I am very interested in traveling and my destination of choice would be the South American countries that I have not yet visited. I enjoy worshipping Jesus Christ at my Church, Christian Assembly in Eagle Rock, and also watching my baby nephew grow up.
