Professional Background:

My name is Rana Khan, and I am working on a masters degree in Geology at Cal State Northridge. I have studied at Punjab University in Pakistan and Glasgow University in Scotland. I received my teaching credential from National University in Earth Science.

I have had some experience in the field of geology, but my passion is teaching. I opened a few learning centers while I was in school overseas, and now I have two full-time schools in Pakistan. I want to learn technology so that I can connect with and teach my students as well as manage the school from here in the United States.

Teaching:
I have been teaching at Grant High School for the past six years in a number of different subjects including, physics, ICS, environmental technology and robotics. I have enjoyed teaching since childhood when I was the leader of the learning groups at my elementary school. I also taught my peers in high school. Both of my grandfathers were teachers, so it seems to run in the family.

Hobbies and Interests:
I enjoy reading and playing cricket and ping pong. I like watching basketball (my favorite team is the Boston Celtics) and watch only the Super Bowl in football. I participate in charity work in my free time. My charity school in Pakistan provides free education, uniforms, and school supplies to nearly 120 students.
