Professional Background

My first experience in the education field was in 2008 when I participated in a Service Learning Leadership Program engaging in a series of workshops, service experiences, and dialogues to prepare for work in the community as a leader.  In this program I helped and provided support to other students pursuing training in the Service Learning Leadership Program. Also, one of the responsibilities of been a member of the Leadership Program I was placed at an Adult School named "Citizenship Project" where I was an English and Spanish tutor helping adult students in their English language learning.
Later I became more interested in the pedadogy field but teaching Spanish because I had worked closely with the Hispanic community and because the language is part of my identity.

I work as a Spanish teacher inLos Angeles county providing enriched Spanish classes. I am committed on providing instruction of the Spanish language with creative activities including culture, grammar, and oral skills.
As a Spanish teacher in an immersion program, I have the responsibility to prepare students and provide the strengths of a new language.
Only Spanish language is used during the whole class, which makes it a complete immersion Spanish program.  As a Spanish teacher with a very complete knowledge of the Hispanic culture and language being a native speaker, I am always committed to inculcating passion for the learning of the language.

Interest & Hobbies

I enjoy the lecture of cultural books, novels, poems and specially, the learning of other languages. I also like to travel to cultural places where I could learn something new.
