During my undergraduate studies, I studied Spanish abroad at La Universidad Internacional, Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico. In 2009, I graduated with a B.A. in Linguistics with a minor in Spanish from the University of California, Los Angeles. Currently, I am pursuing a M.A. in Linguistics with an emphasis in teaching English as a second language at California State University, Northridge, which I plan to complete in May 2012. I have a preliminary Designated Subjects Adult Education Teaching Credential in Teaching English as a Second Language and a Language other than English: Spanish. Teaching
For me, I always wanted to be a positive influence in people’s lives, so I began tutoring in college and continued teaching. My main focus has become teaching English as a second language, since I want to see immigrants succeed in the United States. Throughout the years, I have taught adults, college students, teenagers and children at different capacities.
