Here is the 1024 x 768 LCD showing a photo. This frame uses Gentoo Linux and FBI to show the photos every minute. I wrote several scripts to recognize when either a CD Rom, USB Pen Drive, or PCMCIA Flash card in an adapter is plugged into the computer. If a CD is put into the CD Rom drive, the script will crawl all folders on the CD and copy the files to the laptop's hard drive for showing. I made the USB stick and PCMCIA adaptor a little different, the photos have to be in a certain folder to be copied to the hard drive.
