July 13, 2009, Menlyn, Pretoria, South Africa. Thank you also to Tiger Wheel & Tyre Menlyn who took a lot of my money to rotate the front wheels to the rear, fit two new "Pirellis", choose the best of the worst for the spare and to pump everything with nitrogen. Caveat Emptor - when I got back home a friend pointed out that they had actually fitted Barums. I lived in Prague long enough to know exactly where they come from!! Doing the cross-city trek to the Little Company of Mary hospital twice a day, I had neither the time nor energy to go back to confront them. Two tyres trashed in one day, and then fleeced at the tyre shop - man, I've been away from Africa too long ;-)
Liquid Nitrogen & Cryo Tanks
Liquid Nitrogen & Cryo Tanks
Corrigan & I were discussing liquid nitrogen the other evening. The large container on the left is full of liquid nitrogen. It's small as tanks of it go, but this is on the second floor. The two metal containers are cryo tanks, filled with nitrogen. The cryo tanks are used for long term live cell storage.
