Our 2018 bee order is now open! New this year....we are offering Saskatraz queens in a few of our packages, and we will have a few Russian queens as well for our advanced beekeepers, besides our well-loved Carniolans and Italians.  Saskatraz and Russian orders are limited and will be first-come-first-serve to experienced beekeepers.  Carniolans are best for our climate/high altitude, and best for our first year beekeepers. Italians build up quickly in spring, but require twice as much honey stored for winter as other bees. Russians can be aggressive, but very well-suited to SW Colo. and may be more disease and mite resistant. Saskatraz are  bred from Canadian bees for mite control and tolerance.
