Founders Day Ride (Forty Plus CC 1951-2019 68 years)

2019 event same as all previous.

Inaugural Ride

On the 5th April 2013,  Forty Plus CC, commemorated Founders' Day, with an inaugural riding event.
This was been made possible following a resounding positive response to the idea put forward in a motion at the 2012 AGM.
The Surrey and Sussex section planned a 62Km ride, to be repeated annually on or around 5th April.
The following documents can be seen and downloaded or printed from this page -

1. The route
2. .gpx file (for those riders who use GPS)
3. Textual directions (to be provided by Section Secretary)
An entry form is not required for this event but do contact the Section Secretary, Valerie Taylor, if possible by email, before 1st April.
Non members of the club are welcome to join in but do contact Valerie Taylor, in advance.

Tuesday, 9th April 2019, 7th Founders Day Ride

The Route

The route can be seen as a figure of eight with the Six Bells, Newdigate, at the centre of the two loops. Wherever you join a loop for the start of your ride the main object will be to get to Tanhouse Farm, for the cafe meet and then to ride as a group, or number of groups, formally led, to complete a full loop (logically this would be the loop as yet not ridden, in full or in part) before arriving at the lunchtime venue of The Rusper Golf Course, Newdigate. After lunch it is expected that each rider will choose to complete the full course by riding the unfinished section of a loop back to their starting point. Please note that this part will not be formally group led, but it is likely that there will be other riders going in your direction.
Of course, riders can also choose to ride as much of the full route as is within their capability.
