About Linguistics at UCL

Linguistics is part of the UCL Division of Psychology and Language Sciences, founded in 2008. Linguistics at UCL is the home of Ladefoged and Wells: the former of 'My Fair Lady' fame, and the latter for his comprehensive study of the pronunciation of Englishes all over the world. Both UCL and its Linguistics subdivision are often ranked highly by international rankings for teaching and research.
