Virtual Environment Plug-in  IES Energy Analysis IES develop analysis software to identify and improve the sustainability of buildings. IES have a new version of their Plug-in that allows the sustainability of a SketchUp model to be assessed. The presentation will identify new functionality in the Plug-in along with a demonstration of VE-Gaia, IES’s sustainable analysis tool that coupled with the Plug-in, guides and informs using bio-climatic studies, renewables assessment, calculates energy, water, and carbon usage and provides LEED credits assessment. 
OpenStudio NREL Energy Analysis Nicholas Long, NREL’s Commercial Building’s Software Tools Team Lead, will discuss NREL’s current and upcoming energy analysis tools and how OpenStudio connects SketchUp and EnergyPlus (The Department of Energy’s whole-building energy analysis program). Learn how energy modeling and analysis can be integrated into the design process. Tools allow easier modeling of geometry, HVAC systems, and other components.
