The Beaver Colony

Welcome to Beavers.  Our motto is "Sharing, Sharing, Sharing."   The 36th Ottawa Beaver Colony meets every Tuesday from 6:30pm-7:45pm.   If we don't have an outdoor activity scheduled, our usual meeting place is at Fraser Hall, next to Glebe St. James United Church.

Our activities focus on cooperative play and development.   Indoor activities range from crafts and board games to science experiments and building with tools.  We also have story time and sing the odd song.  Outdoor activities will often take us on neighbourhood outings - skating, tobogganing, a nature walk, or to a civic institution such as a fire hall.

We also have opportunities to meet with Beavers from other colonies at weekend Beaverees or the annual White Tail Sleepover.

As per Scout Canada bylaws & policies we maintain a Beaver:Leader ratio of no greater than 5:1.
