- In metallurgy stainless steel, also known as inox steel or inox from French "inoxydable", is defined as a steel alloy with a minimum of 10.5 or 11% chromium content by mass. Stainless steel does not stain, corrode, or rust as easily as ordinary steel, but it is not stain-proof.
- A form of steel containing chromium, resistant to tarnishing and rust
- steel containing chromium that makes it resistant to corrosion
- (Stainless steels) Steels that are corrosion and heat resistant and contain a minimum of 10% to 12% chromium. Other alloying elements are often present.
- Postpone consideration of
- Present formally for discussion or consideration at a meeting
- (table) postpone: hold back to a later time; "let's postpone the exam"
- (table) a set of data arranged in rows and columns; "see table 1"
- (table) a piece of furniture having a smooth flat top that is usually supported by one or more vertical legs; "it was a sturdy table"
- the act of giving temporary assistance
- A device incorporating a moving cable for carrying people, typically skiers, up or down a mountain
- Something that is used for lifting, in particular
- A built-up heel or device worn in a boot or shoe to make the wearer appear taller or to correct shortening of a leg
- aerodynamic lift: the component of the aerodynamic forces acting on an airfoil that opposes gravity
- raise: raise from a lower to a higher position; "Raise your hands"; "Lift a load"

Stainless Steel Mobile Scissor Lift Table 400 Lb. Capacity
STAINLESS STEEL MOBILE SCISSOR LIFT TABLE This Stainless Steel Lift Table is Designed to be used in Clean Rooms and Hospitals. Portable work positioning lift table is constructed of durable stainless steel to lift, position and transport heavy loads in corrosive environments, such as in lab, food service and healthcare applications. Durable stainless steel platform and frame with chrome-plated scissor legs and pump assembly offers maximum rust-resistance. Foot-operated hydraulic pump raises platform to any height within lift range to reduce the risk of injury from lifting and bending. Convenient hand-operated pressure compensated valve offers smooth, controlled lowering. Lift table is completely tested and inspected prior to shipping. Mobile scissor lift rolls easily on polyurethane casters (two swivel with brakes, two rigid).

This is one of the "lungs" which controls the air pressure. As the sun heats the glass of the domes, the air inside expands. As it is all airlocked there is no place for the air to go except inside here. A thick membrane is attached to a 20 ton steel table. As the air comes into the room, the stainless steel table is lifted off the ground. At night, the air cools, contracts, and the table is lowered back to the floor.
snow cave with table mountain
This is a picture of the snow cave with Table Mountain in the background. It was a beautiful day and we were sad to leave but we had to. Note the pole stuck in the roof. We place several of these around the perimeter to keep people from walking on the cave while we are in it.

Lift is a new web development framework built on the Scala programming language. Lift shortens development cycles because it is streamlined, production-ready, scalable, and leverages standards and the Java Virtual Machine.
Lift in Action is a step-by-step exploration of the Lift web framework. It opens by presenting the core of the Lift framework, along with enough Scala to get started. Then, the carefully crafted, well-explained, progressive examples quickly have readers building something real. A sample application covers most of Lift's key concepts while introducing architectural and development strategies to build good Lift apps. By the end, all of Lift’s features and components have been systematically explored.
