  • A finned unit located in the passenger compartment and through which coolant from the engine flows to heat the unit. A fan blows air over the unit to heat the passenger compartment
  • A heater core is a radiator-like device used in heating the cabin of a vehicle. Hot coolant from the vehicle's engine is passed through a winding tube of the core, a heat exchanger between coolant and cabin air.
  • The heater core is a miniature radiator that sits in the dashboard area. When the heater is turned on, it opens the heater valve which lets hot coolant into the heater core, which then warms the air coming into the vehicle's interior.
  • Avoid or circumvent (an obstacle or problem)
  • avoid something unpleasant or laborious; "You cannot bypass these rules!"
  • a surgically created shunt (usually around a damaged part)
  • Go past or around
  • beltway: a highway that encircles an urban area so that traffic does not have to pass through the center
  • Provide (a town) with a route diverting traffic from its center

My 1969 F0RD THUNDERBIRD for sale . It has a 429 Thunder Jet engine and a C-6 auto transmission . The car has 100,000 miles on it , engine and transmission were both rebuilt to original specs , repainted about 20 years ago by the 1st owner ( original colour ) , has a new dual exhaust system by flow master , comes with its original wheels and wheel covers (see pics ) . On the car ... the tires are Copper Cobra Radial G/T performance tires with raised white lettering , designed for old domestic '' Muscle Cars '' . The wheels are by Eagle Alloys ''Torque Thrust '' style, polished alloy . All four are in great shape , very low kms. , no flats , no long trips , always parked inside garage . The set give the T-Bird a very cool look . The car was originaly bought in Victoria B.C. It runs great , has some body rust and the heater core leaks . I just bypass the heater . The interior is very good , just an open seam in the drivers seat . The top is in very good shape also . I am asking( $Please contact me ) . stevendefehr@rogers.com

Known issues include: some hail damage (original), a repaired front driver side door panel, leaky heater core, so it is bypassed. Front seat upholstery under driver is in poor shape, so front bench has a slip cover.
