Front Main Seal

Recently I started leaving drips on the driveway so it was time to replace that leaking front seal.

With the radiator, fan and associated parts removed the mission objective was clear.

Thanks to a tip from a MB forum member I placed cardboard against the A/C condenser to protect it.

As you can see there was "just" enough space to squeeze in the air gun.

After removing the bolt oil poured out.

Next it was time to remove the pulley.

With the pulley removed it confirmed that the seal was leaking.

After some clean up and inserting the new seal things looked better.

The test was a 120 mile run without one drop of oil - success!
