Vista House overlooks the Columbia River, Oregon
Crown Point State Park, Columbia River Gorge; Corbett, Oregon - Vista House is an interpretive center, observatory, and the most photographed icon of the Columbia River Gorge. Built in 1916-1918 as a memorial to Oregon pioneers, the octagonal stone structure towers 733 feet above the Columbia River and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. During my entire trip shooting the Western third of Oregon a couple of years ago, it was only at Vista House that I saw other photographers.
