How to come to the Senckenberg Museum

 
The easiest way to get to the
Senckenberg Museum is by public transport. If considering coming by car, be aware of the lack of parking spots close and near to the Senckenberg Museum. Please note, that it takes easily 20 minutes and more to find a legal parking spot.

Getting to the Senckenberg Museum by public transport

  • by airplane

Fly to Frankfurt international Airport (Germany) and use the “S-Bahn” transit line S8/S9 to Frankfurt. Stop at “Frankfurt Mainstation”. Consider about 30 minutes to get to the Museum. Check Frankfurt-airport

The low-budget airline ryanair offers flight to Frankfurt Hahn Airport (Germany), it takes at least 2 hours to get by bus via “Frankfurt Mainstation” to the Museum. Check Hahn-airport
  • by train
    From "Frankfurt Mainstation" use Underground Line U4 and
    stop at "Bockenheimer Warte" station

  • underground
    Underground lines U4/U6 and U7 takes you to "Bockenheimer Warte" station. From here it is a 3 minutes walk to the museum. Use U4 from the “Frankfurt Mainstation” and U6/U7 from the city centre of
    Frankfurt.

Travelling by car
  • arriving from the south and the east:
    Drive across the motorway-junction "Frankfurter Kreuz" till the "Westkreuz Frankfurt", then take the motorway A 648 (towards  "Stadtmitte" - B8/44) till Frankfurt Fair (Messe), in the roundabout turn left (towards "Ginnheim / Eschersheim" - B8/40).
    You will find the museum after 500 metres on the left side. 
     
  • arriving from the north: 
    Drive across the motorway-junction "Nordwestkreuz Frankfurt" on motorway A 66 (direction "F-Miquelalle / Stadtmitte"), turn right before the end of the motorway (towards "Hauptbahnhof / Messe" - B8/40), and follow the course of the street "Zeppelinallee".
    You will find the museum after 2 kilometres on the right side.
     
Please consider, there is no parking site available on the museum ground!
 
 However, you may access to convenient public parking facilities nearby:
  • Parking site "Bockenheimer Warte" (called: "Parken an der Warte"); open Monday to Friday 7.00 to 22.00, Saturday and Sunday 7.00 to 20.00 
  • Parking garage "Adalbertstrasse"; open Monday to Saturday 7.00 to 23.00; closed on Sunday and public holidays

 You could find parking lots for disabled persons on the left side of the museum. Gateway Senckenberg-Bistro. Accessible during opening hours.
