Message from our Chief Scout

"One of my big missions is to encourage people across the UK who have the time, enthusiasm and ability, whatever it is, to put something back into their communities. It’s about a lot of people doing a little. I don’t want to hear any more about kids who can’t join because of a lack of leaders. We’ve got a brilliant, talented nation and I want some of that talent to be used to support young people."

Bear Grylls - Chief Scout

2nd Wellington Scout Group is a very lively, busy and friendly group in the small market town of Wellington in Shropshire.

Beavers - Friday                    Cubs - Tuesday                   Scouts

We have young people from the ages of 6 to 14 in our Beaver, Cub and Scout sections, as well as Young Leaders aged between 14 and 18 and a dedicated team of leaders.

Like all who are involved in Scouting, we like to be out and about doing things. We are lucky to live in the shadow of the Wrekin hill and Ercall woods in Shropshire, which gives us plenty of things to explore and learn about, as well as being able to camp on the Wrekin itself.

So if you'd like to know more about us why not click on one of the pictures above and take a look around.

Think you know Scouting? Think again.

If you still think Scouting is just about boys, tents and woggles, then take a look at our video - you might just change your mind.

With over 200 activities on offer and half a million members (including 60,000 girls) Scouting offers everyday adventure to young people and adult volunteers.
