About Me

My chosen style of counselling is Person-Centred and I have been Accredited by the BACP to work in this approach.

I offer confidential counselling to individuals, couples, families and groups covering a wide range of issues, in both long and short term focused work.

My experience and special interests include emotional distress, stress & anxiety, loss & bereavement, abuse, addiction, relationships & couples counselling, work or family issues, anger management and personal growth.  I encourage positive change, a deeper sense of autonomy and self respect.

I trained and registered with the Oxsem Divorce/Separation Recovery Programme and feel able to offer empathetic understanding for those undergoing the changes and distress that come with Divorce and Separation.

My varied experience comes from working for Portsmouth Counselling Services, GP surgeries, on Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP) and in my own private practice.  I have also facilitated groups of student counsellors with their personal development and supervision needs.

I strive to remain professional, at the same time, offer a gentle, warm and sensitive approach to my work.   I promote equality of opportunity whilst valuing a person’s individuality.

As an accredited member of the BACP, I subscribe to its Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and am subject to their Professional Conduct Procedures.
