Your internet references to 25th Alabama infantry have helped me tremendously in my search for my confederate ancestors.  I just though i would take the time to say thank you sir.

I wish to commend you for this fine site!
My great grandfather was B. J. Waddell mentioned in Capt. Howell's account of the 25th.  He was wounded at Shiloh while reloading his rifle.  This letter. alone. saved me a great deal of research effort.
Thank you for compiling and publishing this information for those of us trying to discover our past.

Mr. Driskell,

I thought you might like to know that we have W. C. Flowers buried in the Confederate section of Greenwood Cemetery in Barnesville,Ga.  He was received at Flewellen Hospital in Barnesville on June 8, 1864.

We are in the process of ordering new stones and installing them in the cemetery.  Pvt. Flowers stone has been received from the VA and is in my yard.  We haven't installed the stones in the row that he is buried in yet.
