LIPTON® Commitment to SustainabilityCommitment to Sustainability: Your Small Cup Can Make a Big Difference
LIPTON® understands the need for sustainability. But what exactly does sustainability entail? The United Nations World Commission on Environment and Development defines sustainable development as that which “meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs ”.
That is a tall order, but as the world’s leading tea producer, LIPTON® is committed to sourcing all of their tea from sustainably managed farms. LIPTON® is proud that their Kericho, Kenya estate has been Rainforest Alliance Certified™. In addition, they expect that by 2015, all tea in LIPTON® tea bags sold globally will have been grown on Rainforest Alliance Certified estates.
The Rainforest Alliance is a nonprofit conservation organization that works to conserve biodiversity and protects the rights and welfare of workers, their families, and communities. Farms that meet the standards of the Sustainable Agriculture Network (SAN), an international coalition of leading conservation groups, are eligible to earn the Rainforest Alliance Certified seal. Rainforest Alliance Certified farms balance the three aspects of sustainability that conserve the environment, protect the rights and welfare of workers, their families, and communities and help farms to operate efficiently and cost-effectively.

I felt like being dressy and girly today, just not *too* much, hehehe. *credits are in the note* I went back to posting them in a note (so the photo info is less cluttered) like I did when I first transitioned from my blog to flickr-only, which has been like...over a year now! Wowza! Does anyone remember back then? haha....seems so long ago! O.o I love anything ethnic, in both lives! This Mon Tissu tunic is exactly like a top I have irl, so I was happy to acquire it in my SL closet too! Mon Tissu's 'Party Dress' is the skirt I'm wearing, and I had forgot that I had it in my inventory. Ahhh, I love how full and feminine it is! Layer upon layer of....chiffon? wispy cotton? or maybe it's layered with tulle underneath? all the above? I love the idea of it...and that bow! Zaara's jeweled flats are from a fundraiser...um, I forgot which one but it was a while ago. Anyone here to help remind me? I love this jeweled version which is special enough to dress up while casual enough to wear with jeans. Everyone needs a couple pairs of shoes that are up for double-duty as these are! I also forgot how beautiful LAQ skins are....welll, forgot is not the right word, as I *always* know how beautiful they are, but to slip on on again after a while is an experience that can only be described as breath-taking! Oh, and remember to go to the Tableau Spring Festival to spend way too many Lindens on stuff you can't live without! ;-D IRL: Right now, I am *obsessed* with making spritzers! 1/2 sparkling mineral water + 1/2 fruit juice (any of your liking!) You can mix the proportions if you like it sweeter or dryer. They're bubbly, tasty and fun, you can serve them in cups OR champagne flutes if you're fancy like that. And for those who are calorie conscious (how good of you, I am too lazy for it), they are very low in calories and you can have your juice too! :-D
The Most Amazing Fruit Cup Lives In Portland
The Most Amazing Fruit Cup Lives In Portland
We had trouble deciding on a food truck during our visit to the Portland Saturday Market. Once we did (a burrito place), we were wishing that we had tried something else. Somebody must have sensed something, because as we were on our way out of the market by the river, we came across this wonderful stand that was selling fresh juice and these fruit cups. Absolutely amazing how much fruit is packed in there! From memory (and the picture): Watermelon, Papaya, Mango, Pineapple, Jicama, Cucumber, Honeydew, Coconut
