meth, i hear you callin'
meth, i hear you callin'
On Tuesday on my way to Japanese, I had a hell of a time with the Michelin Pro2 Race tires that have been on my bike since I got it - I got my first flat less than a block from work, and after fixing that, got my second flat about a third of the way over the second narrows bridge. At that point, I was out of tubes and wasn't sure I'd make it to class on time, so I ran the rest of the way. Needless to say, my never-running legs are still sore tonight. Also needless to say, I removed the Michelin tires that I think I've put something like 6 or 7000km's on, and slapped on some new Schwable Durano S tires that I've had sitting in my desk, waiting for the old ones to expire. My initial feeling is that the Schwable's are way grippier, and slower accelerating, but not necessarily slower top speeding, but it's tough to say how much of that is just the result of going from some well worn rubber to some brand new rubber. Only time will tell. In other news, I've been LOVING the weather we've been having this October. I'm pretty sure it's rained less than it did during June and maybe even July this year... Sunshine! Bikes! Happiness!
