40 INCH OFF ROAD TIRES - BLEMISHED TIRES WHOLESALE.
Rosie the 10 year-old German Shepherd hadnt seen the edge of the ice as she ran across part of Epping Forest in east London. Realising her error, she tried to stop as the water approached, but she skidded into the icy water of Connaught Water in Rangers Road, Chingford, London E4. Fire crews from across London rushed to the scene after being alerted by a 999 call just after 2.30pm. Fire teams arrived to find Rosie hanging on for dear life to the edge of the ice, about 10 metres from the bank of the lake. Her distraught owner being comforted by friends and a local vet who happened to be at the scene. Scores of people looked on as Rosie battled to free herself from the deathly waters, but it became obvious she was tiring, and struggled at some points to stay afloat, clinging to the sheet of ice from which she skidded for dear life. As firefighters arrived, dressed in water suits and lifejackets they tried to encourage the German Shepherd onto the ice by tying a tree branch to a rope and throwing it towards her life a lifebelt, but she was too weak to respond. As every minute passed Rosies hopes of survival let alone rescue diminished. Fire crews used a boat to inch across the sheet ice before managing to grab Rosie from the water, amid huge cheers from those on the bank, before the firefighters - and thier boat was pulled to safety by colleagues. Rosie was handed over to her grateful owner to cover the dog in blankets, before being taken off to visit a nearby vet. Onlookers clapped firefighters as they made up thier equipment and quietly left the scene. It was the second diog rescue of the day for these specialist crews - earlier in the day they had made a similar rescue from a lake in Springfield Park, in Clapton, east London.147.365 Tired Face
For TOTW - This is my I'm-freaking-tired-and-just-want-to-lie-near-my-front-door-and-stare-at-the-trees-but-instead-i-have-40-essays-to-grade face. It also doubles as my I-can't-believe-it's-only-Thursday-I-can't-stand-my-first-period-class-for-another-day-this-week face. I'm a ball of sunshine today. :) Today's Random Fact: Yesterday, I was driving on the freeway (Joey was with me) and a car cut me off and missed my front bumper by inches. Joey was even slamming on the imaginary brake pedal on his side. It was really scary. Then today, the same thing happened when a guy came up behind me in a lane that was merging into mine and decided he needed to be in front of me so we were sharing one lane for a few seconds and I had to slam on my brakes. I've lived in the Bay Area for nearly 9 years now - I know what assholes rule these roads, but that was just too much within 24 hours, people! I wish I didn't have to drive on the freeway here. Ever. Especially without health insurance - yikes!
