Special Issue of the Asia Pacific Management Review (APMR) - “Big Data Analytics: Using Financial and Non-financial Information”

Special Issue of the Asia Pacific Management Review (APMR),  A TSSCI journal ranking: 8/46 in Management (Taiwan). 

Special Issue Themes: Big Data Analytics: Using Financial and Non-Financial Information

Submit completed papers using the guidelines for regular the Asia Pacific Management Review (APMR) journal submissions (http://apmr.management.ncku.edu.tw/). Guest editors:  Henry Jin-Lung Lin (National Dong Hwa University) and Yi-Long Hsiao (National Dong Hwa University). The date the Special Issue is expected to be published:  September 2017. Send submissions for the special issue by July, 31, 2016 to Tony Chieh-Tse Hou. Email: houc@mail.ndhu.edu.tw. Earlier submission is encouraged.

The conference committee invites contributions from researchers, policy makers, practitioners in industry and all other stakeholders to explore the latest developments and potentials in policy-making processes. The workshop “Big Data in Finance” will assess the potential contributions of Big Data to Finance and its effects on businesses of finance, such High Frequency Trading, Sentiments, Credit Risk, Financial Analysis, Risk Management and Regulation, etc. Topics that will be covered include but not limited to the following:

  • Information and evidence in digital age
  • Policy-making mechanisms and modelling approaches
  • Data analytics and financial econometrics
  • Financial sentiment and news analysis
  • Behavioral data finance
  • Data security and legal protection
  • Big data and credit Risk
  • Integrating technology and the access to massive data sources
  • High-frequency trading and algorithmic execution

The deadline for submission of papers or abstracts for the conference and special issue of APMR is July 15, 2016. Preference is given to papers over abstracts. Authors of submitted papers will be notified before 15 August 2016 whether their paper has been accepted for the conference. There is no registration fee for presenters. Those who wish to present should send their papers electronically to Tony Chieh-Tse Hou houc@mail.ndhu.edu.tw.
