Civil Air Patrol
Welcome to the Civil Air Patrol 2013 Mountain Eagle V Idaho Wing Encampment

Less than 90 days to the largest wing event of the year and more fun than you can handle!  For new cadets, this is a great jump-start to a successful and meaningful experience in Civil Air Patrol.  The Mountain Eagle V Idaho Wing Encampment is now accepting applications for students (formerly know as basics).  The encampment will be held at Gowan Field in Boise Idaho from July 19th to July 28th.  Students should apply by completing and forwarding a CAP Form 31 signed by everyone up through your Squadron Commander.  Make sure the application is COMPLETE and LEDGABLE.  You do not need to forward your applications to the Wing Commander for signature unless you are NOT from Idaho Wing.  Encampment administrative staff will acquire the necessary permissions for you from the wing.  If you are not a member of Idaho Wing, you will need to obtain the required signatures from your Wing/Region Commanders prior to forwarding to encampment administration.  The deadline for accepting student applications is June 19th.  It would be a great help for encampment planning if you could submit your applications as soon as possible.  Forward your completed applications to id2013encampmentpersco@gmail.com.  Once your Form 31 is received, the Admin Officer will send your parents an application package with more information and a number of forms that must also be completed and returned to him as soon as possible.

The fee for this year’s encampment is $150 for all students, staff and senior staff.  The deadline for fees is July 1st.  This should give every member and squadron enough time to discover the funds they need to make this happen.  Start setting money aside now, get some fund raising done and go look for scholarships and grants if you need them.  Fees can be paid by sending a check or money order to the encampment Finance Officer 2Lt. Page at P.O. Box 367, Grangeville, ID 83530.

For those cadets who have applied for staff positions and have not been contacted regarding your assignment, you will be receiving a communication from the Cadet Commander within the next couple of days.

I am still looking for a few good folks to help out as Training Officers and Instructors.  Training Officers will need to be there through the duration of the encampment.  If you just want to come for a day or two and would like to instruct, please let me know as soon as possible so the Planning Officer can put you on the schedule.
