Hudson Valley Community College's TEC-SMART Facility

 Hudson Valley Community College hosts the Malta Sunrise Rotary for an all day FREE showcase of local and regional talent, organizations and businesses at their TEC-SMART facility located at the Sartoga Technology + Energy Park ® (STEP)®.  
Learn about the state-of-the-art educational facility that provides instruction in clean energy and renewable technologies to high school students, college students and adults looking to alter or further their careers.  New to the facility this fall, students can take all the necessary classes to earn their associates degree in Business  Adminstration at TEC-SMART!

 Enjoy local food vendors, learn health tips for children, enter a raffle for the chance to win prizes, learn more about organizations and services in the region, and recycle your used electronic devices.  Please click here for more details below on the electronics recycling.

Activities from the Children's Museum of Saratoga and CSNE in addition to several other children-oriented activities will be present to keep kids of all ages entertained.

Clear out your basement and do something for the environment!  FREE recycling of your old televisions, monitors, computers, laptops, cell phones & handheld devices, printers,  scanners, fax machines, network equipment, computer accessories, stereo systems, VCRs, DVD players, radios & MP3 players, telephones/systems, power supplies, video game systems, and more! 

NYSERDA, the Round Lake Library, HVCC, and Regional Computer Recycling & Recovery (RCR&R) have partnered to bring you this FREE event.  All items will be completely recycled, keeping hazardous materials out of landfills.  All computer hard drives are completely sanitized or destroyed for your protection.  The Round Lake Library will receive a donation from RCR&R based on the amount of material recycled.  Get rid of your unwanted electronics, protect the environment, and support the Library all at once….and for FREE!

* The New York State Electronics Recycling & Reuse Act provides for free, convenient & responsible Ewaste recycling. This is a great example of how the system is working.
