UNL Japanese Visual Culture in Context Study Abroad Summer 2012

Japanese Visual Culture in Context Summer Study Abroad
cross-listed as ADPR480/880 and ARTP480/880
Fulfills ACE Outcomes 2 or 9 and counts as a studio elective for Studio Art Majors

Japanese Visual Culture in Context Summer Study Abroad is scheduled during the Eight-Week Session: May 14 - July 6. Preparation for the course will take place mid-March through mid-May 2011. Travel in Japan will take place sometime between May 14 and June 3 so students may choose to take an additional course in the First Five-Week Session: June 4 - July 6. Students will spend the final 5 weeks of the course reflecting on their trip to Japan for assignments based on their observations and analyses of Japanese Visual Culture. This course structure allows students to travel independently in Japan after the official course meetings and return to Lincoln in time to complete work for the course.
