News for G2a3 persons
We have quite a bit of news for persons in the various G2a3 subgroups, but I cannot assign you to one of these subgroups because you have not have the deep clade test.   There is one exception, Mr. Bailey, who is G2a3 but negative for the two major subgroups of G2a3.  We are getting very close to understanding the ancestral migrations within G2a3 with the addition of a number of new useful subgroups this year.
How did I decide to place you in the predicted G2a3 category?
Well, for those you have 67 markers tested you have a value at marker DYS425 that is found only within G2a3 men.  For the rest of you, men in varied G2a3 subgroups showed up as your nearest matches.
For some, the value of 21 at marker DYS390 suggests you are part of the G2a3a group, but the rest of the markers are not so typical of G2a3a men.
So, the bottom line here is that we would very much like to see more of you have the deep clade test.  Once you are assigned to a specific G2a3 subgroup, you would be eligible for the targeted testing we have been doing using donated money in the project's General Fund.  Everytime we have made choices as to who to test, you have been ignored because we do not know where you fall within the G2a3 tree.
As mentioned in the general news section, if you are willing to better define your grouping, I will be glad to give individual recommendations and help. rayhbanks@cox.net.
