Autographing: Books by conference
authors may be purchased from our exhibitors. Please limit books to be
autographed to three per author and have the names to be inscribed written out
for the authors.
Banners: The SC Book Award Banners will be on display
in the Exhibit Hall on the walls of the SCASL Membership Pavilion.
Blogging: Conference info will
continue on the SCASL blog! Visit http://scasl.wordpress.com during conference
to blog about your conference-going experience!
Cell Phones: Please turn off your cell phones prior to all conference sessions and meals.
Conference T-Shirts: If you pre-purchased a
conference T-Shirt, you will have a ticket in your registration package to
redeem at the SCASL store. A limited number of shirts may be available for
purchase at the store.
Email Stations: You can check your email at the email station booth in the Exhibit Hall
Evaluations: To help SCASL plan future
conferences, please complete the evaluation form located on http://www.scasl.net.
Your ideas, suggestions and comments are welcome.
Exhibitors: Please visit the exhibits
often and express your support for our exhibitors. The all-conference reception
and Exhibit Hall opening will be on Wednesday, March 24th from 5:30-7:00 PM.
The Exhibit Hall will be open from 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM, and 2:30 PM – 5:45 PM on
Thursday, March 25th, and 8:00 AM – 11:30 PM on Friday, March 26th.
Facilitators: Please pick up your
folders and scanner at the information booth at least 15 minutes prior to your
scheduled session; the scanner and folder should be returned immediately at the
end of the session.
Information Booth: The Information Booth is located at near the end of the registration counters.
Lost and Found: Any misplaced or lost
items can be claimed at the Information Booth. Please take precautions to
secure your belongings during the conference.
Podcast: Book Award committees
will be podcasting the SC Book Award booktalks again this year. Check
http://www.scasl.net after the conference to access the podcasts.
SCASL Membership Pavilion: The SCASL store and booth
have been combined into one convenient SCASL Member area. Come browse the
store, pick up SCASL and ALA
member information, and relax in the break area. This is also where you need to
pick up your SCASL T-Shirt and SC Book Award book marks.
Security: Security staff will be in
place throughout the conference to check name badges and monitor programs and
exhibits. Please remember to wear your badge at all times during conference!
Volunteer Forms: SCASL needs you! Your
active participation in our organization keeps us growing and strong. Please
complete the Volunteer Form located at http://www.scasl.net.
Vodcasts: Selected sessions will be broadcast on SCASL Channel on Teacher Tube. See the session descriptions for more information.
