The only thing stronger than Amber Grayson and Brian Matther’s loathing for each other, is their all consuming lust.

Amber Grayson’s dates never seem to measure up. That is, until Brian Matthers - the boy from high school who sparked such intense longing in her, no other man could compare - returns to her life.

When Amber and Brian come together, their powerful chemistry overwhelms them both, leading them to fall hard and fast. But betrayals are easy to believe when things seem too good to be true, and the romance ends as fast as it starts.

Only Brian and Amber have had a taste of the heat between them, and a taste isn’t nearly enough. When the two come together, tempers flare and barbs fly, and Brian quickly discovers that the only thing more intense than Amber’s wrath is her passion.

Embarking on a relationship that is strictly sexual and gratifies their most torrid fantasies, they soon find that abiding by the unspoken rule of strictly sex proves more challenging than either of them expected.

Warning, this title contains the following: explicit sex, graphic language.

Stately Mansions - Disney's Port Orleans Riverside
Stately Mansions - Disney's Port Orleans Riverside
This is only one of many shots I'll likely post (and which I've already posted) from the Port Orleans resort is Walt Disney World. Nestled beside the Sassagoula "River" (actually a Disney-manufactured waterway) the Port Orleans Resort is the perfect location for a vacationing would-be photographer. With winding paths, plenty of trees, a southern-style river, cozy streetlamps and New Orleans-style architecture everywhere, there's a thousand great shots to be had. Once again, Disney makes it easy to surrender your disbelief and pretend you're walking among (and spending the night in) stately Southern mansions. This is part of a walk that I do with my wife and my in-laws as we come home each night from the parks. In our last couple of trips we've stayed in the Riverside Resort but stepped off the bus in the French Quarter Resort and walked along the river to our home in the adjacent Riverside Resort. A great way to burn off a couple of the 1000's of calories we eagerly consume each day on the Disney Dining Plan, it is also a clever strategy in getting ourselves to take the time to just "soak in" Walt Disney World. With all the fun the parks and waterparks and other attractions have to offer, it can be very easy to miss the magic of simply BEING in Walt Disney World--seemingly far removed from the hustle and bustle of . . . reality. In addition to our nighttime walks, we try to run the bicycle course from Riverside to French Quarter once each trip as well. (The most fun is on a 4-seater surrey bike.) In a half hour your can usually run the course twice, but we try to up the ante and make it around three times in 30 minutes. Of course you can also rent boats to drive up and down the waterways--but personally, I have yet to do it. All in due time, I suppose. Blueberry frangipani pie with a bit of history ~ thank you USA
Blueberry frangipani pie with a bit of history ~ thank you USA
We're very lucky here to have some fabulous "Farmers Markets" close to where I live~ they move around local towns, and today was Petersfield in Hampshire turn. As my daughter works there on a Sunday, I decided to take her there and visit. I'm so glad I did, what an array of wonderful goods to purchase; meat, fruit&veg, flowers, plants, breads, pickles, cheese and so on. I stopped at the Blueberry man, who not only sold blueberries but also loads of varieties of cakes & pies.. my choice was the above ~ and believe you me it was the best choice. Absolutely delicious. As the weather was typically British and raining, I took cover under-neath his canvas and we had a long chat. Now for the history lesson. Farmers from Dorset, in the year 1949 his grand-father noticed an advert in a farmers magazine for 100 free blueberry plants from USA. According to the grandson there were only 4 replies to this advert and his grand-father was one. So 100 plants arrived and hence the beginning of blueberry plantations in England. Every local blueberry we consume now comes from these 100 blueberry plants, so a big thank you to USA and the foresight of the grand-father. Some 10 years later this project took off in earnest and today blueberry sales have overtaken strawberries and raspberries. I for one am ever so grateful ~ a wonderful, delicious, nutricious and good for medicinal purposes (if you got a tummy upset, excellent to prevent endless visits to you know where) and full of anti-oxidants. Hurrah for blueberries, especially when they are baked in a delicious Frangipani case. Now I'm seriously going to have to stop myself from having a third helping.. and go for a walk instead to counteract the added calories I've consumed, I am sure Tia wont mind. Happy Sunday evening folks. Texture courtesy of KimKlassen, many thanks again.

Consumed: How Markets Corrupt Children, Infantilize Adults, and Swallow Citizens Whole
"Powerful and disturbing. No one who cares about the future of our public life can afford to ignore this book."—Jackson Lears
A powerful sequel to Benjamin R. Barber's best-selling Jihad vs. McWorld, Consumed offers a vivid portrait of an overproducing global economy that targets children as consumers in a market where there are never enough shoppers and where the primary goal is no longer to manufacture goods but needs. To explain how and why this has come about, Barber brings together extensive empirical research with an original theoretical framework for understanding our contemporary predicament. He asserts that in place of the Protestant ethic once associated with capitalism—encouraging self-restraint, preparing for the future, protecting and self-sacrificing for children and community, and other characteristics of adulthood—we are constantly being seduced into an "infantilist" ethic of consumption.
