I have been visiting the SL Raheja Hospital , for my hand wound, a serious one where I cut my tendon of my right hand during a Moharam scourging at Jumma Masjid Delhi in Chehlum this year.I came to Mumbai, I found to my dismay that my blood sugar levels were at 400, I got treated by Dr PG Talwalkar eminent diabetologist, I was put on Insulin, in about 10 days my sugar levl came down to 112 post lunch.
Yet the wound caused me much misery, I took the opinion of their in house surgeon Dr Sunil Vaze, he really helped me , in recovering my spirits that get dampened when I see most of the denizens here on wheel chairs, most of them minus a foot, mostly due to earlier negligence, the sight is humanly painful..every person has ither one or the other foot in a bandadge, some are amputated from the hip onwards..men woman kids..
Yes diabetes is a killer disease striking a blow that brings life to a stand still.
