Medium: pencil, Sharpie, Photoshop I illustrated this artwork with photoshop on the computer. The main subjects of the artwork are food that I find irresistible, especially junk food like fries. I drew glooming fires under the fries to represent that I want to burn the high calorie feasts that I have absorbed in New Year and Christmas. I also rendered the food in a rotten mixture of pink, green and violet to make the food look vulgar and disgusting. A variety of brush strokes were used to create the lumpy texture of rotten food. To add to this effect I picked colors that are not the food's original color. This is so that whenever I set my eyes on real food, I would not have the impulse to eat it. I hope with the reminder from the picture, I could lose the fats that I had gained in 2009. I name this artwork Burning Calories.

Day 25 of 365 - Midnight Madness!
Sunday nights are now officially workout nights. Our pharmacist, Tina, fellow tech, Hillary, and I have been going every Sunday night when the gym opens up at midnight. It's crazy, but we go! And there are other Sunday midnight regulars too, which is even crazier...lol. I actually broke a sweat today, and burned probably close to 350 calories, which isn't too much, but it is a pretty big accomplishment for me. For anyone that wishes they worked out more but don't think they can afford a gym membership or can't really go at "normal" times, I would suggest checking if there is a Planet Fitness around you. If you're lucky like we are, it might be open 24 hours a day M-F plus more. Plus, the cheapest membership is only $10/month. Go! What are you waiting for?
