The solenoid (which was the defective part) is removable from the valve body with 4 screws. Unitrol claims these valves aren't "field serviceable" .. but that's BS since the instructions mention how to convert a "soft-start" unit to a "normal" unit by removing this exact part. Really just a ploy to sell more $80 valves, or keep your local HVAC guy in business.
