Miracle Mart, Greenfield Park, Quebec 1970
Miracle Mart, Greenfield Park, Quebec 1970
This is a picutre from a local newspaper, showing the Miracle Mart department store in Greenfield Park, Quebec. It was the second store of this chain built in 1962 as "Steinberg Woodward" before becoming Miracle Mart. The store went to many changes when it closed in 1985 (thanks to e1179p for the history part). Wise Brothers occupied the space until 1995, shared with Leon's furniture. Then when Wise closed, Maxi (former Steinberg's) took some of the space, while Winners department store took part of the space. Leon's left in 2007 and there is a "L'equipeur" (Mark's Work Wearhouse) store there. Quite a story for this vintage 60s discount "Mart"...
