My Wife's business is taking off. She creates events - designing the narrative for the event, and then bakes up all the stuff for it. I am in the process of training for the DC triathalon in September, and am currently cutting my caloric intake each day. This is a picture of a cake ball my wife made for a recent event. They are good -- but PACKED with calories. I was surprised to know that each one is close to 150 calories -- I won't tell you how many I packed into my pie hole......

Monitoring My Activity
A new toy I bought to monitor my activity levels. I've always been interested in how much different activities burn in terms of calories, how many steps I take a day, what activity v.s intake results in weight loss and gain etc. This cool monitor is a cinch --it does all the work (even monitors what's burned at rest during sleep) and hopeful the data will help direct me as to the best levels to maintain the ideal for age, height etc. Part of my healthy living resolution.
