Maker

The Small Ad Maker [or Threapmaker], is an easy way to create visual/audio items for an audience. This audience being friends or customers, available via email address, websites, or QR codes/NFC points.

There was a Small Ad Viewer as the counterpart, but this is now superseded by the Maker (used as viewer). Please see that for details of viewing the Small Ad.

The Process

Start the maker and begin to input suitable information: Threap Name (for your reference), Common Heading Text "Here is my Small Ad"; (you can choose text colours). Caption texts "Item 1", "Item 2", "Final item!" with chosen colours.

Now the important parts are URLs for your images; these can be taken from web images, or from your cloud storage, as long as they are published. You can use the Web and Local buttons to find these, or you can flip-flop back to your cloud apps to find URLs and copy them in.

Similar steps will be necessary for the audio files, if used (these go in the associated lower fields). Remember that any local data must be published to the cloud, to be visible to others at a later stage.

Use the Show Information button if you want to add further items or links. The mail@to button will take you to your contacts to choose an email address. Generally the small buttons on the left are to copy in something that has been successfully picked up by a process; if it does not work then use the normal paste operation from the clipboard.

Use the Show Formatting button to change various settings - this does not happen often! You can change the Audience, or the start view amongst other things. You will most often change the Web Start field because this will start you off correctly when using the Web button above. You can input a web address, or a general search item, or nothing.

Use the [extra] menu key to access important processes, such as FETCH, SAVE [Local] and EXPORT.

This is part of the expected result from the viewer [shown on the maker here]. The final result must always be tested on the viewer, to ensure that all URL's are published and available.

N.B. There will be a requirement to modify some or all link URLs for download. I use Dropbox URLs and  the "www" becomes "dl" and there is a suffix of "?dl=1" see this page.

This is the working area [4] whereas [1-3] are for checking the images etc. All you need is a URL for each item, in the correct field!
The lower fields are for Audio, which can be turned on/off.
Use the Web button to get to something like this, where you can select an image.
Use Share link or the JPEG button to get your URL. Either paste this or use the small .1. button back on the work screen.
Use the Local button to access/create local content.
This MUST eventually be moved to the cloud.
Once you are happy you can SAVE or EXPORT the result to the Download folder, or integrated cloud storage.
Here is typically what the FETCH button shows. Use it to get your work in progress. OR you can fetch direct from integrated cloud storage apps.
Here is the option to FETCH direct from the Download folder (when a .3.txt file is clicked).
Only the Edit and View options are useful here.
