  • There are multiple instruments referred to as a bass banjo. The first to enter real production was the five-string cello banjo, tuned one octave below a five-string banjo.
  • A banjo with cello tuning (CGDA) often - and rightly - called the cello banjo.  Designed for use in the BM & G orchestra, it also provides an ideal bass voice in quartets/quintets.  It has a 15 inch hoop, sound board of vellum, and is played with a plectrum.

  • Gold, also called golden, is one of a variety of orange-yellow color blends used to give the impression of the color of the element gold.
  • An Orotone or gold tone is one of many types of photographic print which can be made from a negative. An orotone photograph is created by printing a positive on a glass plate precoated with a silver gelatin emulsion.
  • Jewelry finished with a gold color with almost no appreciable measurement of weight in actual gold.

Smallmouth Bass on a Banjo Minnow
Smallmouth Bass on a Banjo Minnow
Catching Smallmouth Bass at the Kankakee River State Park on May 26, 2009. I turned loose over 25 bass from about 6:30pm till 8:00pm and finally stopped taking pictures of each one. I missed another 15-20 fish that I could see. They were moving into the mouth of the creek (Rock Creek). Caught them all on a 4 or 5 inch Banjo minnow.
