Maybe I have finally gone over the edge? Awwww, who the heck cares? Not me!! I seen the original in my back yard, which is a Wild Persimmon Tree and I just liked it's look and textures, but she was missing something...then I realized what it was!!! The thing all women put on to look better!!...Make-Up!!! Here is an Up Date on everything going on at the Hall House! John had his surgery 12-29-10, (I was sick with the crud at the time), they screwed up his care and he will require another surgery thanks to it! I, while there with him had an allergic reaction to myself (I always have allergic reactions when I get sick) and had to go to the ER! One shot, one pill, two prescriptions, a nose and throat swab that proved nothing was wrong other than sick as hell and $731 dollars later I was sent home a couple hours later!!!! John's recovery was and still is not over because of the poor care he got, plus to make things even worse, he caught the crud about 4 weeks ago. I kept mine, lost my voice for 10 days...not even a whisper (John was secretly happy) and I'm pretty sure I coughed up a lung and a gut and blew out part of my brains!!! John went to the doctor and got antibiotics that he had just came off of from the screw up at the hospital. He had started putting weight on, fast, and drinking fluids all day!! He only got worse. Seen the doctor again and she put him on lasix (water pill) and he kept putting weight on and was coughing just like I did. Doctor's thought it was bronchitis. More antibiotics, since the last weren't doing the trick. Finally when he put 3 pounds on in 2 days and his legs looks like stumps and he couldn't lay down to sleep for 3 weeks I said enough was enough!! Feb. 3rd I said he was going to the ER. Of course he said nothing was wrong with him and he'd be fine! In the ER room they gave him lasix straight in the vein. In 7 hours he lost 17 pounds!!! He was in Congestive Heart Failure, having A fibrillations and Acute/Cronic COPD all at the same time!! We didn't think he was going to make it through the night!! The doctors said had he been able to lay down he would have drown in his own fluids that night and died!! Up to his room where he lost another 3 pounds that night. He was in the hospital 7 days and 6 nights and is now taking 8 new medications for his heart and lungs. He is on 5 new diets, sodium, carbs, diabetes change, lowfat/low cholesterol, coumadin (Vitamin K for those who take it) plus he has to limit his fluid in take!! Oh wait, there is the calorie diet too which is only 1,800 cal. per day!! Yeah, yeah, try to incorporate all of them together and find something to eat!!!! John is home and he is doing much better than he was, but has a long way to go. He has lost 33 pounds in 2 weeks...sadly that was mostly fluids!!! Great news, but not the way you want to lose weight!! I still have the crud...but I reached a plateau and figured that is where I am staying. Dry hacking cough and a voice that comes and goes...(Again I think John is secretly happy about that!!!) So is the life at Murphy's House. I'm still waiting for my New Year to Begin!! Maybe I need to put some Make Up on?? I really will be back one day....I Miss All of You So Much!
