RUMORS & PREDICTIONS

NO OFFICIAL WORD BUT RUMOR HAS IT THAT ITALERI AND IMEX WILL BE RAISING PRICES-WHOLESALE PRICES.  WITH MORE THAN A FEW ITALERI SETS ALREADY BECOMING COLLECTIBLES IT WILL BE INTERESTING TO SEE HOW THIS PLAYS OUT.
WITH MANUFACTURERS PUMPING OT A RECORD NUMBER OF FIGURE SETS AND ARMOR IN PARTICULAR IN 1/72 SCALE ITS EVEN MORE INCUMBENT ON SELLERS TO SMARTLY PICK THE BEST OF THE CROP FOR THEIR INVENTORIES.  PUTTING EVERY SET THAT IS COMING OUT ON THE SHELVES EXPECTING IT TO SELL BECAUSE ITS A NEW RELEASE IS A RECIPE FOR DISASTER.  THIS DISCRETION, SHOULD IN TURN AFFECT PRODUCTION OF SETS.

AS TIME MARCHES ON IT WILL BECOME COMMONPLACE FOR OLDER AIRFIX SETS TO HAVE ORIGINAL FIGURES REPLACED WITH LATER MOLDED SETS.  tHE PLASTIC FROM THE ORIGINAL SETS IS GETTING INTO THE RED ZONE, AS MORE AND MORE SETS TURN BRITTLE FROM AGE.  THE FIGURES WERE NEVER ORIGINALLY CASTED TO LAST THIS LONG.

ESCI AND A-TOYS WILL BECOME THIS DECADES ATLANTIC CRAZE AS COLLECTORS START TO FIGURE OUT HOW FEW MINT SETS ARE LEFT ON THE MARKET.

WHEN IS ACCURATE GOING TO START ANOTHER RUN ON ACW FIGURES?  LONG OVERDUE.  ESPECIALLY UNION ENGINEERS.

I PREDICT IN THE FUTURE THE OVER LOOKED IMEX BATTLE SETS WILL BECOME VERY COLLECTIBLE.  IF THEY WOULD UPGRADE THEIR BOX ART I AM SURE IT WOULD NOT HURT SALES.  THEY ARE VERY UNDER RATED WELL DONE FIGURES IN GENERAL.
