SOLD 2004 998 Ducati Matrix 1 of 150 in the United States - Only 250 World wide Description: This is the last year of the 916 thru 998 models; it was released after the 2nd Matrix movie titled Matrix Reloaded, it’s differentiated from other Ducati Superbike’s of the era by being the only one to ever wear the deep metallic green paint and Matrix Reloaded logo on the tail section. The bike was only produced as a Biposta(setup for a rider and passenger), and with a limited run of 250 bikes world wide, and only 150 coming to the United States. Mechanically the bike is a 998, so aftermarket and OEM part’s are easy to come by for a limited production model. It’s 998cc 90deg L engine layout produces 123hp @ 9750rpm and 72ftlb @ 8000rpm combined with it’s light 436 pound dry weight insure a enjoyable rush thru the gears, or with all the torque produced at an usable rpm range cruising the back roads is a blast. A 120/70-ZR17 front combined with a 190/50-ZR17 rear tires and 3-way adjustable titanium coated forks and 3-way rear shock instill confidence in the curves. Dual 320mm disc’s with 4 piston Brembo front calipers and a single 220mm Brembo rear disc stop this rocket quick enough you’ll need to keep your face shield shut to keep track of your eyeballs. There’s approximately 2900 miles on it(still riding it when I can), and the tires, sprocket’s, and chain are in great shape. The Pit-Bull single-sided swingarm stand(F0029-000 $180) fit’s in the rear axle on the right side for sprocket removal, on the left side for wheel removal. It also make’s chain maintenance easier and is included with the bike.
